Very loving adjustment. I like it.
On the topic of responsive: it's not embarrassing - you're doing this just for fun. However, WPtouch does not have to be, because at least on the iDevices you can zoom the content column very well.

I find that with WPtoch - as I literally quoted - only "a little bit embarrassing". Only the header and footer were really badly injured, each on the far right. But also in terms of loading time, WPtouch saves readers who are not on the move with UMTS, let alone LTE, a lot of kilobytes.

Very successful, this adaptation of the thesis framework. I like it very much! I found it a bit more difficult to adapt this framework to my own ideas.

I've also used Genesis and Thesis. When it came to these frameworks, I found it a bit more difficult to make adjustments. I do not speak English. This does not make it easier to find the places for “intervention”. With the "normal" themes, you can find them faster because the structures (directories / content) are essentially identical. The control of the frameworks looks a little different.
In any case, I like your adjustments very much. 🙂

Hufi, I can reassure you: If I am not blogging here - and there will be times like this again - it has nothing to do with the fact that I am concerned about the layout of this blog.
I wouldn't call your observation "nonsense". However, I also see it as less representative.

I feel called to express myself again. I change (design-wise) constantly something or sometimes only small things. And I'm still blogging - since 2004. Despite warnings, delete the blog completely and other frustrations that can overwhelm a blogger. My frustration right now is that the blog landscape in German-speaking countries is getting thinner and thinner. But that's just my subjective impression.

Horst, yes. I have a similar blog age. When I look at my old bookmarks, it feels like 90% of the blogs at that time have disappeared. And very few are still on the move to this day.
But there are also new blogs. I used to be able to get through this, from blog to blog. Today, everything separates me from everyone.

Well, a lot has already been philosophized about in the blogosphere. Many blogs also no longer exist because it has become so easy for everyone on social networks such as Facebook, Google+ etc. to post messages in / for the world. A blog means a little more effort. Because can / don't want to run so many more.
However, I do not think that the content of the blog scene is getting thinner. If so, then actually rather quantitatively, and I don't necessarily see that as a disadvantage.
